Life on Mars? Don't Place your bets yet...

The Phoenix has now probed twice, and scientists think it just needs to dig a little deeper...but no evidence has yet been found of water on the Red Planet.
Researchers remain confident that they are in the right area to find ice veins, which would be a good indicator of life on our neighbor.
But after two baking operations, not a single trace of water was present in the soil. CO2, however, was abundant....which is what the Martian atmosphere is largely made up of.

Though dissapointed by the lack of results, the mission researchers still have hope. Having gone only 3 inches below the top soil, the hope is that water lies just below that reach.
For now, though, the rover moves on to a region called Wonderland, with dreams of ice just below the surface dancing in the scientists heads.
There is no argument that there once was water. The hope is that its still there, meaning that mars may be still habitable.
